            HCC Career Readiness Certificate (CRC)

Many states currently use WorkKeys as a statewide system to credential or certify the skills of their workforce.  HCC has launched the CRC in Massachusetts, using the other states’ systems and the new National Career Readiness Certificate as our model.  Individuals may take the three WorkKeys assessments of Reading, Math and Locating Information and earn a Gold, Silver or Bronze CRC.  Included with the certificate will be a description of the skill sets tied to each level of the CRC.  Job applicants who present the CRC certificate to employers are able to describe to the employers their skills in the three competency areas.

Employers wishing to find out more information about the CRC should call Keith M. Hensley, Executive Director of Workforce and Economic Development at HCC at 413/552-2506 or email khensley@hcc.mass.edu.
